Takefusa Kubo and Ander Barrenetxea were subjected to racist and xenophobic insults during the warm-up of Real Sociedad ‘s game against Valencia at the Mestalla, counting towards the 20th round of LaLiga .
On social media, Real Sociedad denounced the incident: «Real Sociedad strongly condemns the racist and other insults that several Valencia fans made towards some of our players from one of the areas of the Mestalla. We are certain that they do not represent the greatness of the club , just as in football and sport there is no place for people who are disrespectful, insulting and inciting hatred.»
