Trailing by a goal at home to Southampton , Amad Diallo shone in the final minutes and scored a hat-trick to give victory to Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United . At the end of the game, the Ivorian was euphoric about the three goals, but mainly about the three points.
“I feel good. I’m very happy to score my first hat-trick at Old Trafford, but for me the most important thing was to win this game and I’m happy for the club that we did it. Maybe one of the best weeks of my life. I’m very happy with this victory. This team deserved to win this game,” he said, showing his willingness to play in any position the Portuguese coach asks him to.
“We know we have quality players in this team. Sometimes we need to be more determined in the final third. Today we showed at the end that we were the better team. I am ready to play in any position the coach wants to put me in. I am ready to fight for this club,” he said.
On the other hand, Ivan Juric was quite disappointed with the result, after a great performance: «We were very good for 75-80 minutes, but we lacked the mentality to win the game. There comes a time when you have to be smart and more malicious to do certain things. We were like innocent children at times and lost the game that we controlled for 75 minutes.»
The former Roma coach wanted his team to lose more time and learn to deal with the pressure, assuring that the fact that they are bottom of the table, with only six points and ten points from safety, frees them from all that pressure: «We don’t have much pressure. We have six points and we are bottom of the table. It’s part of the group. We have to be more competitive in the crucial moments of the game.»
