Tottenham: Bentancur’s downtime is now known
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has revealed that the midfielder is doing well despite the scare
It was in the first minutes of Tottenham – Liverpool , last Wednesday, that Rodrigo Bentancur fell unconscious and scared everyone present at Spurs’ home.
The midfielder was taken to hospital by ambulance and, after some tests, it was revealed that he had no serious complications. However, his return to the pitch will still have to wait, as the Londoners’ coach, Ange Postecoglou, revealed to the club’s media: «Good news, fortunately. He was in hospital, did all the tests to see if everything was okay and he was. He is now home and is feeling fine. Now we have to follow the protocols for a few weeks to make sure everything is okay. It was a concussion, but nothing more than that».
“It was distressing to see, especially for Pedro [Porro] who was the first to get to him. It was a distressing situation, but I thought the boys handled it well and the medical team too. Thankfully, everything is fine,” he concluded.
