Transfer Market: Chelsea negotiates 16-year-old Corinthians full-back
The English are closely following Denner’s path
Born in February 2008, Denner’s progress at Corinthians has been impressive, as at 16 years old, he has been part of the club’s youth team since last year and, in 2025, he has played eight games for the team in the Copinha, a well-known youth tournament in Brazil. He scored three goals in the competition, one of them in the final, which was lost to São Paulo.
These performances have already caught the attention of Chelsea , who are planning a bid of 12.5 million euros, plus 4.5 million in bonuses, for the young player, reports Globo Esporte. It should be noted that even if the deal goes through, Denner will only be able to play for the Londoners when he turns 18 – something that also happens with Chelsea and Estêvão, and has already happened with Endrick and Real Madrid – in approximately 13 months.
Denner already has a contract with Corinthians until 2027 , and they have no intention of giving up their star player. However, they will be tempted to do so, so as not to lose him to a Brazilian rival for a much lower price. This is because, in Brazil, a player’s release clause is two thousand times his salary.
As Denner still earns a low income, at the level of a youth player, he could leave for another club in the country for 1.6 million euros, an amount almost eight times lower than what Chelsea is prepared to spend.
