Transfer Market: Félix pleases Conceição and could be an alternative to Rashford
The Manchester United player remains the priority, but competition for the Englishman is strong and the Rossoneri have the Chelsea winger in their sights
For a few weeks now, Marcus Rashford has been Milan ‘s main target for this winter transfer window. However, with the impasse in negotiations and the strong competition for the Englishman, the Rossoneri are already considering alternatives.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, João Félix pleases Sérgio Conceição and could even end up at San Siro, if the Italians fail to sign the Manchester United player.
Félix joined Chelsea in the summer for €52.5 million from Atlético Madrid , but has struggled to establish himself at the London club. The hope was to sell him, but with the end of the transfer window approaching, the Blues are looking for a quick solution, with a loan deal being the most likely option.
Milan are therefore considered as a potential interested party, considering a buy-back option. The Portuguese’s salary (€5.7 million) is more affordable than Rashford ‘s (€13 million), making him an interesting option, allowing Milan to target two targets – potentially Kyle Walker – rather than one.
The fact that Sérgio Conceição and João Félix have the same agent could also make the deal easier. The Portuguese coach also believes that, if the player arrives in Milan, he will be able to extract all the quality and potential that he does not always show on the pitch.
