Transfer Market: Jhon Duran reinforces Al Nassr
Forward becomes the most expensive transfer of the season and the second most expensive in the history of the Saudi league
Here is the officialization of one of the ‘bombs’ of the market: Jhon Durán , a 21-year-old forward, is the new reinforcement of Al Nassr , with Cristiano Ronaldo and Otávio .
The Colombian player, previously part of Aston Villa , is heading to Saudi Arabia for a fee of around 77 million euros. For the Villans , he scored 12 goals in 29 games, but only in 1047 minutes, a figure that is equivalent to less than 12 full matches.
He was one of the sensations of Unai Emery’s team and, now, he becomes the most expensive signing of this season, surpassing the 75 million Marmoush paid for Manchester City . This amount could even reach €90 million, depending on objectives and, in that case, it would equal the €90 million that Al Hilal offered PSG for Neyma last season, the most expensive signing in the history of the Saudi league.
Despite the heavy investment, the market may not yet be closed for Al Nassr , who had a multi-million pound bid for Brighton ‘s Kaoru Mitoma rejected.
