Transfer market: Tomás Tavares leaves Spartak Moscow
Russian club announced the departure of the former Benfica right-back, who is on his way to Aves SAD. He will sign for the club until the end of the season
Tomás Tavares is no longer a Spartak Moscow player , the Russian club announced this Wednesday, through a statement shared on social media.
“The parties have terminated the contract by mutual agreement. Unfortunately, the consequences of a serious injury have prevented Tomás from realising his potential at our club,” the club said in a statement, wishing the defender success.
It should be remembered that Tomás Tavares joined Spartak from Benfica in 2022/23, after loans to Alavés , Farense and Basel, however he had little impact on the Moscow club, which loaned him to Lask Linz this season.
A return to national football will happen in this market, with Aves SAD being the full-back’s next destination . The move to Vila das Aves has not yet been finalized, with only a few details left to be ironed out, but the signing should be made official in the coming days.
