Bernardo Silva: “We are not even close to our main goals”

Manchester City lost 1-3 to Real Madrid and are out of the UEFA Champions League . After the match, Bernardo Silva considered that Madrid’s victory was not a “humiliation”, but more than deserved.

— I wouldn’t say it was humiliating, but they were much better, they deserved to win the game. We are not even close to the level we need to be at to compete against teams of this level,” began the midfielder, who is looking for “solutions”: “We are out of the Premier League , the Champions League. We were nowhere near achieving our big goals. We are very disappointed. We will try to find solutions, we will work every day and, next year, we want to be stronger and fight for these competitions. That’s what we’ve gotten people used to: being competitive and trying to win these competitions.»

Now far behind Premier League leaders Liverpool , the only trophy Manchester City have a realistic chance of winning this season is the FA Cup .
