“I apologize to Valencia fans”
Coach of the ‘che’ team, Carlos Corberán, repented for the ‘manita’ suffered at the feet of Barcelona this Thursday in the Copa del Rey, after the 7-1 on the 21st round of LaLiga

Valencia were once again crushed by Hansi Flick ‘s Barcelona , this time in the Copa del Rey, in front of their own fans at the Mestalla Stadium. After being thrashed 7-1 at the Blaugrana’s home ground a few days ago, Carlos Corberán’s team were handed a slap on the wrist this time around and were already 0-4 down after 30 minutes of play.
The humiliation was too much for Valencia fans , who began to leave the stands shortly after the 3-0 score and continued after conceding the fourth goal. Hundreds of them did not even wait for half-time.
After the game, the team’s coach , Carlos Corberán, apologized for what happened.
“I apologise to Valencia fans , this is not the image we have to give,” he said.
“It was a complicated defeat, very difficult. Difficult because there were repeated feelings from the league game and it was in front of our fans. We have to live with this with the responsibility that this shirt and this emblem entail. The image that must be given on the pitch must be better. Today’s disappointment must be transformed into a reaction for next Sunday. The fans deserve a different response. It is time for self-criticism. It is a day of pain”, admitted Carlos Corberán, bluntly.
