Jose Mourinho sues Galatasaray for 50 thousand euros
Fenerbahçe coach claims ‘moral damage’ caused by ‘personal attacks’ from rival club

Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray already faced each other four days ago, last Monday, but the game continues to be the talk of the town due to off-field situations, particularly related to Gala ‘s accusation of racism towards José Mourinho.
This Friday, the club coached by the Portuguese revealed in a statement that it had decided to take legal action against its great rival: «Through Fenerbahçe’s lawyers, we announce to the public that José Mourinho has filed a lawsuit against Galatasaray for 1 million and 907 thousand Turkish liras [ around 50 thousand euros ] for moral damages due to the attack on the personal rights of our coach José Mourinho.»
Despite this action, Mourinho’s comments have already earned him a four-match ban from Fenerbahçe . The Portuguese coach has already served the first match of that ban, against Gazisehir Gaziantep in the Turkish Cup.
While the rivalry between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray continues off the pitch, the same is true in the league, even though Galatasaray holds a six-point advantage over their opponents.
