The midfielder was free in the middle and fired a first-time shot into the corner of the goal. The rest of the first half saw few chances for Newcastle, who only managed one shot, while the home side created more danger through Diogo Jota and Salah.
Howe’s team improved in the second half, but missed clear chances in front of goal . On the other side, Liverpool managed to extend their lead with the skill of the team’s attacking team.
