Napoli draw at home to Lazio and have the lead at risk
Napoli drew 2-2 away to Lazio this Saturday, and a third consecutive draw in the Italian League could cost the Neapolitan team the lead in the championship, which could be overtaken by Inter Milan.
Danish forward Gustav Isaksen opened the scoring for Lazio in the sixth minute, but striker Giacomo Raspadori restored parity shortly after in the 13th minute and the score remained level until half-time in the 25th round of Serie A.
In the second half, an own goal by Montenegrin defender Adam Marusic gave the visitors the lead for the first time, which was only cancelled out in the 87th minute, thanks to Senegal’s Boulaye Dia, dictating the draw.
Napoli remain top of the Italian league with 56 points, but are dependent on the performance of Inter Milan, second with 54, who travel to Juventus on Sunday.
In turn, Lazio, which had Portuguese defender Nuno Tavares in its starting eleven (he was replaced in the 82nd minute by Manuel Lazzari), is in fourth place – the last one that gives access to the Champions League – with 46 points.
Ahead of them is Atalanta, third with 51 points, who also played today and conceded a draw at home to Cagliari (0-0).
With Rui Patrício as an unused substitute, the team from Bergamo was unable to break the deadlock against the now 13th placed team, with 24 points, in an uninteresting game with few goal opportunities from either side.
Also today, AC Milan, coached by the Portuguese Sérgio Conceição and which has João Félix and Rafael Leão, hosts Verona.
