Rúben Dias resigned to elimination: “It hurts and you question everything”
Portuguese centre-back captained Manchester City in their elimination at the hands of Real Madrid

Rúben Dias was not happy at the Santiago Bernabéu: he was involved in the first of three goals by Kylian Mbappé and was unable to prevent Manchester City ‘s clear defeat to Real Madrid (1-3). After the game, the Portuguese admitted that this is “not the year” for the Citizens .
“This is a difficult season. In a team used to losing, when they win once everything is fine, if they lose again, they don’t care. In a team that always wins, when you lose it hurts and you question everything, which is normal because it is the essence of a big club that wants to win every year,” Dias told DAZN .
“We have the ambition to always win,” continued the Portuguese centre-back, then looking ahead to the rest of the season: “We are still in the FA Cup and fighting to qualify for next year’s UEFA Champions League .
In the championship, Pep Guardiola’s team is in 4th place, in a tight fight for the Champions League places ; in the FA Cup, they will face Championship side Plymouth in the 5th round.
