HOW WAS THE GAME?

Tottenham’s victory this Saturday was down to Son and Brennan Johnson. In the 17th minute, the South Korean entered the area from the left, beat the marker in a race and crossed low into the middle. The English midfielder arrived with a shot that shook the net . The two men again messed up the defense in the 25th minute. Son carried the ball down the left, pulled it into the middle of the area and passed it to Brennan Johnson, who was free in front of goal. The midfielder controlled it unmarked and shot into the corner of goalkeeper Palmer’s goal. Ipswich managed to reduce the deficit in the first half. In the 35th minute, Kalvin Phillips stole the ball from Tottenham in the midfield and passed it at speed to Clarke. The forward crossed into the middle of the area, and Hutchinson fired home a first-time shot.

Ipswich tried to hold off the London pressure, but the game was all Tottenham’s after the break. Spence charged down the left in the 31st minute, exchanged passes with Maddison, entered the box and scored the third. The full-back was lucky to deflect the ball off defender Woolfenden, which sent the ball over the keeper. Kulusevski sealed the deal with a fine individual move. He ran alone down the right towards the box, cut inside and shot into the corner. The Ipswich goalkeeper had no chance.
