“When you face teams like Barcelona you have to be prepared to resist”
Simeone previews Atlético Madrid’s Copa del Rey clash
Atlético de Madrid coach Diego Simeone assured this Monday that the rojiblancos are prepared for the Copa del Rey match against Barcelona , knowing that they will have to withstand the pressure from their opponents.
«Barcelona? When you face big teams, you know you have to be ready to resist. There will be good moments, we know what happened against Real Madrid, where there were moments when they were better than us… We know there will be different moments in the matches and we hope there will be more good moments for us. We have to be forceful», he stressed in the preview.
Regarding the strategy for the Catalans, he said: “We have a concrete idea and we will discuss it with the boys beforehand. We are going to face an opponent that I really like because of the way they play. They have great offensive strength and we will try to cause damage where we believe it is possible.”

“I’m not going to talk about each of the opponent’s players. They have key players, offensively they are going through a very good moment, whoever plays will resolve things very well”, he stressed.
