Harvey Elliott decided the PSG – Liverpool match by scoring the only goal of the match, but the truth is that the star of the match was Alisson Becker . The Brazilian was unbeatable in the Reds ‘ goal , making 12 (!) saves, much to the despair of the Parisians.
Liverpool legend and TV commentator Jamie Carragher was keen to highlight Alisson ‘s monstrous display , posting a photomontage where the goalkeeper’s face appears on the body of… Christ the Redeemer.
It is fair to say that Alisson was a true saint, with several miraculous saves to save the Reds , who now have a one-goal advantage going into the second leg, scheduled for next Tuesday.
