Barcelona defeats Atlético de Madrid and regains LaLiga leadership
Hansi Flick’s side had lost ground after Real Madrid’s win over Villarreal; Lamine Yamal and Ferrán Torres secured the win in injury time
TURN, TURN… TURNED!
Barcelona defeated Atlético de Madrid 4-2 this Sunday at the Metropolitano. In a match valid for the 28th round of LaLiga and of great importance for the dispute at the top of the table, Julián Álvarez and Sörloth put the home team ahead. Ferrán Torres and Lewandowski equalized, and Lamine Yamal put Barça ahead in injury time. In the final minute, Torres scored another to close the score and put the team back in the lead, which had been stolen with Real Madrid’s victory.
