Bayern Munich loses points for the second consecutive round after drawing with Union Berlin

Bayern drops points again!

Bayern Munich have once again dropped points in the Bundesliga . After their defeat on the last day against Bochum , the Bavarians drew 1-1 on Saturday (15) in their visit to Union Berlin , in a clash on matchday 26 of the competition.

Thus, with this outcome, the Bavarian emblem remains in the lead now with 62 points, nine more than Bayer Leverkusen . However, the current champions in title have a game in hand and if they win on Sunday (16) against Stuttgart, they can shorten the distance .

Meanwhile, Union is in 13th place with 27 accumulated points. Furthermore, Diogo Leite was in the hosts’ starting eleven, while Raphaël Guerreiro (unused substitute) and João Palhinha (suspended) were not options in the visiting team .

Bavarians slip up again…

Bayern tried to take control of the match, dominated the match , had a large percentage of possession, but, however, lacked efficiency in finishing and also in the number of real dangerous opportunities that they managed to create.

Upamecano, Olise and Gnabry failed to hit the target . In this sense, it was no surprise that the duel ended in a goalless draw. Then, in the final stage, the team from Berlin was more daring in attacking terms and managed to scare.

Finally, the long-awaited goals!

Vincent Kompany’s men finally managed to break down the opposition defence. In the 75th minute, Leroy Sané , who had come on ten minutes earlier to replace Sèrge Gnabry , gave the visitors the lead after an assist from Olise .

However, Steffen Baumgart’s men managed to react and equalise eight minutes later. Manuel Neuer ‘s replacement, Urbig , made a poor decision on a seemingly harmless move and gifted Hollerbach a 1-1 draw . The final minutes were frantic, with danger lurking in both areas, but the result was sealed.

In the other matches on Saturday afternoon (15), André Silva stood out , making his debut for Werder Bremen , but was unable to avoid a 2-4 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach. Mainz could only draw against Freiburg (2-2) – former Benfica player Beste came on in the 85th minute – and Augsburg defeated Wolfsburg, with Tiago Tomás playing full-time, 1-0.
