Brazil back in action for Ancelotti
The Brazilian coach is at risk of not continuing in his position and the Real Madrid coach is the CBF’s favorite, but only after the Club World Cup
Faced with yet another defeat, the fifth in the qualifying phase for the 2026 World Cup and the second against Argentina , although the latter was heavier (1-4), the Brazilian Federation is considering changing coach.
According to Globo Esporte , the CBF will once again enter into action for Carlo Ancelotti to replace Dorival Júnior. However, the Real Madrid coach , despite being willing to accept the invitation, only intends to do so at the end of the season, after the Club World Cup .
The same source even says that they have already resumed contact with the Italian coach, who still has one year left on his contract with Los Merengues , with the aim of guiding the Brazilian team at the 2026 World Cup .
Brazil currently sits fourth in the qualifying round, 10 points behind Argentina , the clear leader who has already qualified for the next World Cup, and six points ahead of seventh-placed Venezuela, who are in the play-off zone . In June, there are two more games, in Ecuador and at home to Paraguay , before the final double-header against Chile and Bolivia.
