“Bruno Fernandes is sacrificing his career”
Phil Bardsley argues that the Portuguese could be winning trophies at another team and says he would be scared to see where Man would be. United without him

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes still has no consensus among critics. Destroyed by some, praised by others, the Portuguese international has now earned recognition from Phil Bardsley, a former Red Devils defender who believes the 30-year-old could be succeeding at another club.
“Roy Keane is right in the sense that Bruno Fernandes can do more, but in any other team he would be winning trophies and he is probably sacrificing his own career to try and help Manchester United get back to where they want to be,” the former right-back told BoyleSports.
“He’s the one who stands out week in, week out, you just have to look at his goals and assists. I’d be scared to see where Man. United would be without him,” added the 39-year-old former Scottish international.
“He doesn’t back down from challenges and his work rate is second to none, but the standards that Roy [Keane] has set as captain mean he won’t like the way Bruno sometimes looks frustrated and throws his arms up in the air,” he noted.
And he explained: «But that obviously happens because he wants to win trophies with United, that’s his personality and he will be fundamental in United’s attempt to climb the table again.»
