“Cristiano Ronaldo is finished”
Former Danish striker criticised the striker’s performance in Copenhagen in the first leg of the Nations League quarter-finals

Former striker David Nielsen, who played for clubs such as Copenhagen , Norwich and Midtjylland , did not mince his words when describing Cristiano Ronaldo ‘s performance at the Parken Stadium in Portugal’s match against Denmark, which Roberto Martínez’s team lost 0-1 on Thursday.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is finished, I have to say that. It’s amazing that he’s still there and I have a lot of respect for his career and the fact that he continues to play, especially because it’s probably very difficult to tell him to stop,” he said on TV2, where former Danish international Nicklas Bendtner also commented on CR7.
“Cristiano disappeared a lot from the attack to go downfield looking for the ball and, when he does that, he is not dangerous. It became easy for Denmark, Cristiano has to be inside the box to create space for the other attackers,” he said.
