Guardiola: “We don’t deserve any bonuses this season… not even a watch!”
Spanish coach says that if Manchester City win the Club World Cup, all the money will go to the club and nothing to the players and coaching staff, because of the poor season

Ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final clash with Bournemouth , Pep Guardiola spoke about his goals for the rest of the season and was adamant that even if Manchester City win the Club World Cup in the summer, they will not deserve any bonuses due to their poor season.
“We don’t deserve any bonuses this season. If we win, I don’t know what the prize money will be, but it will go to the club. The coach, the technical team and the players don’t deserve any of that. Not even a watch,” he began by saying, at a press conference.
“Our objectives are to reach the FA Cup semi-finals for the seventh year in a row and then win enough games to play in the Champions League next year. When I said in previous years that qualifying for the Champions League was a huge success, people didn’t believe it. Now they do. The immediate objectives are to beat Bournemouth and then prepare for the Leicester game ,” he explained, aiming to win another title.
“You learn from the good times and the bad times. For me, it’s good that I’m going to learn a lot from this season. I hope the club does too. In England, any team can beat any other. I know that from my time at Barcelona and Bayern . There are teams like Liverpool who do incredibly well in the Premier League , but with the others anything can happen. We take the FA Cup seriously, just as we took the English League Cup seriously when we won it four years in a row,” he said, revealing that Ederson had returned to training.
“ Ederson has trained for the last two days. We will see if he starts against Bournemouth or Stefan Ortega . When will Rodri be back? It would be good if he could play tomorrow, but that would be the wrong decision. He reacted very well on the training pitch, but it is completely different to be in a competitive environment. We have to be sure that he is fully fit before we start including him,” he concluded.
