Haaland not worried about potential Manchester City ban
Norwegian forward recalls that he renewed his contract until 2034; qualifying for the Champions League is the objective

Erling Haaland has said he is not worried about Manchester City being punished for 115 charges of financial irregularities, saying he has demonstrated this with his decision to extend his contract with the club until 2034.
Asked if he was worried about a possible ban, Haaland replied: “Obviously not, as I signed a 9.5-year contract. I’ve said 300 times why I signed. I spoke to the club, I had a good feeling and I agreed,” he said, quoted byFootball Norway.
The top scorer does not shine in the same way as in the previous two seasons, but by his standards, he has 29 goals. On Manchester City’s performance this season, the Norwegian commented: “Sometimes it’s like that. It’s different when you’re a two-time champion and you’re not in the running for the title, but you can’t win every year. Now the objective is to secure a place in the UEFA Champions League and win the FA Cup .»
Haaland, a key figure in the Norway national team , begins qualifying for the 2026 World Cup this Saturday , with a game in Moldova .
