At Anfield, the game was frenetic from the first minute. After just 4 minutes, after receiving a low cross into the area, Salah almost had the goal open, but Nuno Mendes appeared to save.

At 11, the answer came. Dembélé made a great pass to Barcola on the right wing, the youngster crossed low, and the defense got confused. Konaté cut it badly, and Dembélé, who started the play, appeared to just push it into the net and open the scoring.

Five minutes later, the second goal almost came. After Arnold made a mistake in midfield, Barcola received a pass from Kvaratskhelia and tried to dribble past Alisson, but the Brazilian goalkeeper positioned himself well and made a great save.

At 34, it was Kvara’s turn to appear in the area, with freedom, after a cross from Dembélé. The Georgian hit it well, but Gravenberche appeared to deflect and save the home team.

In the second half, Liverpool took control of the game. Just seven minutes in, in an exciting play, Arnold hit the post, got the rebound and crossed for Szoboszlai to score with a header. The play, however, was disallowed due to Luís Díaz being initially offside.

At 12, from a corner kick taken into the area, Luis Díaz rose very well, headed the ball into the corner, but Donnarumma started to appear and palmed it away to save PSG.

With the game drawing to a close, in the 33rd minute, Robertson took a free kick into the box, and Quansah, who had come on for the injured Arnold, headed the ball against the post. Five minutes later, Luis Díaz pounced on the rebound in the box, but Donnarumma saved again.

The duel, however, did not have any more goals in regular time and went into extra time. In the first few minutes, Doué had two clear chances and, in both, the ball went just past the post.

In the second half, in the 3rd minute, Dembélé received the ball on the left side of the area and crossed the ball, but Alisson made another spectacular save to save Liverpool.

The score remained the same, and the match went to penalties. In the final, Donnarumma was the hero. He saved penalties from Darwin Núñez and Curtis Jones and secured Paris’ qualification.
