Sergio Ramos ‘flew’ to first goal in Mexico
Spanish centre-back plays for Rayados Monterrey and scored in his second game for his new club

Sergio Ramos scored his first goal in Mexican football, where he now represents Rayados Monterrey , during the victory over Santos Laguna by 4-2, at the end of the tenth round of the Liga MX Clausura Tournament .
It was the second game for the 38-year-old Spanish centre-back, who flew in to head in Monterrey’s second goal of the season, 2-1 after trailing.
“Happy with the three points we’ve won in a victory that required a lot of work and with my first goal in this jersey. Thank you very much for your support,” said Sergio Ramos on X (Twitter) after scoring his first goal for Monterrey, who now have 15 points and move up to ninth place.
After months without a club, Ramos was presented in Mexico on February 9 and promised to work hard. “My challenge is to come and win. I heard it’s a physically demanding league and that’s why I like it,” he said at the presentation.
