Newcastle announced on Monday that first-team coach Eddie Howe is recovering from pneumonia in a hospital in the city and, after missing the match against Manchester United ( 4-1) on Sunday, will also be absent from the matches against Crystal Palace (Wednesday) and Aston Villa (Saturday), also for the Premier League .
After feeling unwell for several days, the coach, who is in his fourth season with the Magpies , was admitted to hospital last Friday, with the club now providing further details about his clinical situation.
